Sophisticated minimalism and livable comfort reign in this spacious mid-century modern dwelling, a busy family's homestead complete with a pack of adorable dogs and two active kids. Vibrant colors and patterns meander throughout, within the artwork, furniture, rugs, accessories, and textiles, and are balanced against the gorgeous, ubiquitous natural light and beauty of this one-story ranch at the foot of Los Feliz's Griffith Park. The inherent cheerfulness, joy, and casual Southern California cool of the home’s inhabitants deeply influenced the direction of our design, in all its aspects. (photography by Michele Thomas)
